I ended up taking the connector off the old fan and soldering it on to the new fan. So far, it's quieter and seems to be working fine.

Here is the replacement, but don't buy if you aren't comfortable with slightly modding it as described above:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XHCDKYV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2514187889603153283.post-81229841252463228012022-01-02T08:39:22.185-05:002022-01-02T08:39:22.185-05:00This article saved me a ton of time. Fan went out...This article saved me a ton of time. Fan went out on my unit and I wanted to make sure I wasn't putting myself in a tight spot ordering a replacement I had my eye on.

Fun fact: When my fan went out it caused drive 2 to get extremely hot to the touch. This gave the drive a "bad" indicator and took it out of the RAID. I ended up trying a couple drives I had around, both of them showing the same issue. This prompted me to take the stock fan out, cleaned it as best I could and re-oiled it up. This got the fan into a functioning state albeit really loud/grindy sounding (more than usual as you've described above) until the replacement arrives. I got an 80mm X 20mm at a much lower decibel level so it "should" fit this thing without having to get new screws or washers and be much more quiet.

Otherwise, I've had zero problems with this thing in the years I've had it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2514187889603153283.post-56790425688303807372020-06-18T05:08:21.759-04:002020-06-18T05:08:21.759-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.James Morrisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08027665245778934740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2514187889603153283.post-72900790545445082872020-04-10T07:19:32.323-04:002020-04-10T07:19:32.323-04:00thanks for sharing such a great informationthanks for sharing such a great informationSwords Kingdomhttps://swordskingdom.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2514187889603153283.post-91833376708320562402017-08-17T05:14:34.877-04:002017-08-17T05:14:34.877-04:00Nice Blog Post !Nice Blog Post !Used PC Exporterhttp://www.electrocw.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2514187889603153283.post-2583746158627812832015-08-28T16:02:11.561-04:002015-08-28T16:02:11.561-04:00I forgot this "Since qaac accepts high bit de...I forgot this "Since qaac accepts high bit depth sample formats like int32/float32/float64, You can set "Highest BPS supported" to 32."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2514187889603153283.post-54158016755329866972015-08-28T16:00:05.162-04:002015-08-28T16:00:05.162-04:00"You might want to optionally add --no-optimi..."You might want to optionally add --no-optimize option. --no-optimize directs qaac not to optimize the MP4 container file after encoding.
